A thought on wheat

Today, wheat is the single most cultivated crop worldwide. Most people in the United States eat wheat at almost every single meal, every single day, and for snacks and dessert too. Bakers are adding in “vital wheat gluten” or high gluten flour to make fluffier loaves of bread. Vegetarian and vegan meat substitutes are made from extracted gluten. Wheat is everywhere and then some! It’s no wonder we are not tolerating this food that has “suddenly” become our dominant food source

.
Reading an article where someone takes a look back on the rise of wheat is making me think. We just might be hurting ourselves with food.

Play with your food

Typography shows us that food has more to do than feed us. It has something to say.

Becca Clason uses familiar food items to create written works of art. I’d love to see a much larger installation.

Maybe a pumpkin seed Halloween quote, or an orange peel confession. Either way these pictures have impact.

If mom had let you play with your cereal. This could have been you. ;)🍴

Lets plan a Halloween party

So you’ve decided to throw a halloween party. Or at least, you’re thinking about it. (Shakes head) what were you thinking? Okay here are some quick and dirty party ideas. (Eyebrow wiggle) See what I did there. You need some lights.

Spooky lights

Some Halloween Lights idea. Cute, classy and spooky

Then come the eats. You could go really creative with the float in eyeballs and three foot high food towers. Don’t laugh its a thing and trust me we don’t want that headache. Grab some cupcakes some cardboard tape and sharpie marker. Or maybe some edible wiggly spiders.

Or if you are lazy or lovely dovey like minion Bob and minon Betty. You could just have a nice quite time enjoying the beautiful autumn days.

Sit for a quiet Halloween

Things to do for Halloween

Now the last and final thing is to have some party parting favours. Everyone likes portable things. Now that is the perfect recipe for an awesome party. The people and tunes are all up to you.
