Pinup on a bicycle

Pinup

With Summer long over and Fall fast approaching those bikini days short as they were did bring some comfort. I had a flash of inspiration and decided to work on something whimsical. A girl on a bicycle. I don’t know if I’ll take this any further than this. She deserves a nice summery backdrop I think. Her out fit was inspired by those pin up baby doll look.

You can almost imagine her riding down to the beach to meet up with friends and arriving shocked to see a scandal

Green Dress Work in progress

Every once in a while you get an idea that’s worth sharing.

I have been working on a dress design. The ticked images are what has been agreed so far, but of course it could all change by next week. Hoping to share more images and process pictures once it’s done.

Interior study

Have you ever been struck by an idea you become fixated on it.  It all started with a double height space. Then came the doors.

What about the lights I thought…..

And three hours later I was still there trying to imagine how this fictional room was going to come together.

It was fun finding all these pictures. Sigh!

Now I’m off to put it all together.

Norm Architects work the Industrial look

Danish practice Norm Architects used a palette of dark and warm materials combined with minimal tube lighting to create an “intimate and cosy atmosphere” at this wine bar and restaurant in Copenhagen.

You might see those concrete walls and think, “Nope. It’s a cold space and I don’t want to hear another word about it”

But look at what the photographer did. He made it….intriguing, No?

The loghtingingnforgives what the walls do not. And a busy cafe with music. Would you look at the walls ? Me thinks not. You’ll remember the chairs and those table settings though.

I found these really cool pictures that got me thinking. Mostly about the phrase “Your home is your castle” or something to that effect.

So how would we do that? Well we’d start by picking some quality products. Now do we showcase or do we incorporate them… that is the question.
