I saw this image a while ago and stuck a pin in it. I always meant to go back to it and today I will. What struck me about this was the curved wooden roof. It’s unusual, yes but it seems to me to be a little more than that.
This structure is built with the loving intention of creating something that will respect the land. Built on stilts to preserve the exiting forestation. This takes full advantage of light and location with some amazing sunrise and sunset views.
Built in 2009 by ToTeMS Architecture Architect, Jerry Sparkman and Contractor, Michael K Walker and Associates in Casey Key Florida.
I am loving it for the wood, responsible building practices and that curvy wall. Sigh!
